Luis Enrique's words about not laying back against Villarreal were drilled into his players' memory, and they managed to defeat the Yellow Submarine 3-1 and earn a spot in the upcoming Copa del Rey final. Neymar's brace and Luis Suarez's strike were enough to cancel Villarreal's efforts, despite a classy finish by Jonathan Dos Santos before the first half ended.
Los Blaugranas wasted no time in establishing their dominance against the hosts. While Villarreal missed two clear chances of going ahead on the scoreboard, Neymar put to good use a precise assist by Lionel Messi to make it 1-0 just after three minutes.
Villarreal pressed hard to make it even before the half ended, and were rewarded by Dos Santos' goal three minutes before the halftime break. During the build up for Villarreal's goal, Sergio Busquets came down with an injury to his right ankle, which will most likely prevent him of playing next weekend.
After the break, Barcelona destroyed their hosts' hope with Luis Suarez's goal, followed by Neymar's second strike of the evening.
Neymar has scored 33 goals this season, 26 for Barcelona and seven for his National Team. What did fans and experts have to say about his display today with Los Blaugranas? Scroll down to find out!
