Brazilian midfielder Ramires signed for the Blues a couple of weeks ago. Now as Chelsea prepare to host Stoke City in the English Premier League this weekend, the player gets ready for a memorable debut at Stamford Bridge.

Brazil and Chelsea midfielder Ramires.Ramires missed Chelsea’s 6-0 demolitions of West Bromwich Albion and Wigan Athletic, but he looks forward to enjoying some playing time against Stoke City. The £18,2m signing from Benfica told The Mirror in an interview:

“I can’t wait to play my first game for Chelsea. I have spoken with the manager and that could happen this Saturday. My debut will be incredible for me, because I have always dreamed of this chance. It will be a great moment for me.

“Chelsea have begun the season like a locomotive engine. But, the season is long and matches aren’t always easy. For me, however, Chelsea are the favorites to win the title and I want to be in the starting XI. That’s my target.”

Ramires continued as he shared his wishes with the public:

“I want to be a success in the Premier League. I want to stay for a long time, and enjoy my football on the pitch. I’m working hard every day in training. I hope to get my opportunity. Playing at Stamford Bridge in front of the fans will be perfect.”
