The Portuguese coach wants the goalkeeper to stay, but he believes the Czech shot-stopper will end his stint with the team this summer.

After their Capital One Cup victory over Tottenham, Chelsea returned to their training grounds thinking about their upcoming match against West Ham. During his pre-match press conference, Jose Mourinho replied a few questions about Petr Cech, who started the game against Spurs, revealing he will not twist the goalkeeper's arm so he keeps playing for the Blues next season.

"I don't think Petr is a guy to be persuaded. He doesn't let anyone persuade him. I don't waste my time trying to persuade him because it's just his decision. If he tells me he wants to leave I will tell him my opinion, that he is one of the three best goalkeepers in the world, so huge money," Mourinho said.

Mourinho decided to give Thibaut Courtois the chance to defend Chelsea's net on a regular basis, sparking rumors about the Czech shot-stopper's future. Clubs such as Liverpool and Arsenal have shown interest in signing Cech, but despite not starting him frequently, Mourinho would like Cech to pen a new deal with the Blues.

"I think he's very mature making what he feels is the best decision for him and his future. I will just wait, wishing his decision is to stay. That's my desire. I would like him very, very much to stay," the Portuguese added.
