As the Catalans declared that they have no intention in selling the former Inter Milan play maker, Ibra’s agent Mino Raiola explained in an interview with ANSA:
“Ibrahimovic has a four-year contract with Barcelona. They’ve never said they wanted to sell the player. If Zlatan leaves Barca, it will be his own decision. We have no deals with anyone.”
Meanwhile, it was reported at the start of the week that AC Milan president Adriano Galliani and Barcelona chief Sandro Rosell will have a meeting concerning a transfer for Ibrahimovic. Commentating on this issue, Mino Raiola stated:
“When they [Sandro Rosell and Adriano Galliani] will meet, my presence or absence won’t count. It is the player who will decide.”
On Monday, rumors that AC Milan will pay €30m to Barcelona for the striker were intense. Now Mediaset reporter Carlo Pellegatti put more fire to rumors as he declared:
“Milan and Ibra have agreed a contract. A deal between both parties has been reached. The Swede will earn €6m a year. The rest of his wage will be covered by Barcelona.
“Zlatan is really happy to join the Rossoneri and he is delighted at the fact that the club will be in the Champions League. This issue was a key factor for him.”
It may only be a matter of time before Zlatan Ibrahimovic joins AC Milan from Barcelona. In the meantime, both teams will meet in the Trofeo Joan Gamper.
