After yet another disappointing draw, AC Milan will take on a potentially tricky Cesena side on Sunday, February 22nd. Find online streaming & live listings options for AC Milan vs. Cesena here.

After seemingly having turned a corner when they earned a 3-1 win over last-placed Parma, AC Milan then suffered a not-surprising loss to Juventus before being held by a determined Empoli side, who have shown that they are more than happy with a stalemate. In fact, the Azzurri, who were promoted from Serie B have the most draws--12--out of any side in the league, but when one is desperate to avoid the drop, each and every point counts.

If for Empoli the match must have felt like a win, for Milan, despite earning a point, it was more like two points dropped. The Rossoneri currently sit in a dismal 11th place and are even worse off than when they finished the season in 8th place under Clarence Seedorf, who was promptly sacked after less than one season in charge. Now it's his former team mate Pippo Inzaghi who is under increasing pressure to start earning positive results, something that any Diavolo fan will know is much easier said than done.

Diego Lopez, who many have rated as one if the team's better players this season, will be unavailable due to a ban. which means that Christian Abbiati, who had long enjoyed his position as the first-choice keeper prior to the Spaniard's arrival will take over. Other absentees include the combative Philippe Mexes and newly signed Gabriel Paletta.

Despite Cesena's 19th placed position and being 14 points behind their opponents, Domenico Di Carlo’s men shocked calcio followers by holding their own against Juventus in a match many had expected the Bianconeri to cruise to an easy win. Additionally, the Cavallucci Marini (Seahorses) have actually won more times in 2015--with two victories against Parma, and more impressively, Lazio--than their hosts, whose sole win was the aforementioned result against the Crociati.

The visitors will certainly be feeling quite confident of a scalp at the San Siro and will definitely give their all as they hope to avoid a return to Serie B. Meanwhile Milan, who earlier this season were first taking of making it back into the Champions League, will desperately need a win if they even want to finish in the top half of the table, let alone even have a distant chance at qualifying for the Europa League.

14 points may divide these two sides, but given the Rossoneri's poor season so far, for the team's frustrated and weary fans it will certainly not feel like it. On the other hand, Cesena supporters will be feeling a bit more hopeful after their team's solid display last weekend and will hope it will be a spring board to finally start climbing the table.
