Lampard hopes Ronaldo takes action to defend his teammate. He believes that Bale should let ego aside in order to get better.

Less than a year ago Gareth Bale helped Real Madrid win the Copa del Rey and was a vital player in the UEFA Champions League final against Atletico Madrid. Now, instead of being cheered by fans, the footballer gets plenty of jeers.

Frank Lampard weighs in on the issue and believes that the solution can come from his teammate Cristiano Ronaldo. Frankie believes that CR7 should speak out on behalf of Bale, who seems to overthink his decision-making in the field.

"If he hasn’t passed to Cristiano once and it’s not come off and there are a few boos then it’s only going to be detrimental to the team and to those two as individuals,” Lampard told Sky Sports.

Gareth Bale has been constantly criticized by fans this seasonGareth Bale has not been too accurate this seasonRonaldo and Bale are two very important players in Carlo Ancelotti’s team. The crowd at the Santiago Bernabeu is constantly cheering on Ronaldo. In recent games, Bale has not passed the ball to CR7, something fans highly disapprove.

“Maybe there is a moment when he thinks, “should I go for goal and take it on or should I look for the other option in case I get criticized?” said Lampard about Bale’s constant battle against his own ego.

But at the end of the day, the solution could come from the Ballon d’Or winner. Frankie believes he should address the issue before it really affects Bale’s game.

“I would like to see Cristiano come out and say there is no issue because he is the boss and he maybe needs to say that,” Lampard said.

Bale has scored 10 goals in 20 games played this season. Not a bad number, but the rumors of an exit towards England just keep getting stronger as he does not please Madrid's fans.
