Despite a defeat at the hands of Liverpool in their last encounter, Tottenham have been impressive as of late and will be hoping to continue their good form on Thursday. Spurs faced difficult back to back fixtures in the league, whereas they were able to pick an important victory against arch rival Arsenal, they failed to get the better of Liverpool.

Tottenham came twice from behind and put up a fine display in that match but were defied of any points as Mario Balotelli scored his first Premier League goal for Liverpool. Tottenham now face a difficult fixture list ahead which will see them play six important matches in just 17 days. This also includes a Capital One Cup final against Chelsea which will give Mauricio Pochettino a chance to win silverware in only his first season in charge of the North London club.

Tottenham have also emerged as contenders for a place in the top four in the Premier League and will be aiming to go further in the Europa League. Pochettino on the other hand is hardly fazed by the congested fixture list and has claimed that a fully fit squad will make life easier for him during the difficult period.

"This is our 42nd official game tomorrow in seven months," Pochettino said. "It's important to manage the squad and always analyse after the games each case and each player. And after to be clever and select the best player to play in each game.

"For me, I prefer to play every three days because it's a good sign we are in all competitions. We have a strong squad for playing in the Europa League, Premier League and the final of Capital One Cup against Chelsea. I am happy.

"There is not a special worry about that. All the squad are fit and we are in a very good way."

Fiorentina come into this match in good form having not conceded defeat in their last eight matches in all competitions. They were against Sassuolo in their last encounter, a match they won by a 3-1 score line with Chelsea loanee Mohamed Salah getting on the score sheet.

The Italian side lost star man Juan Cuadrado to Chelsea in the January transfer window but Mauricio Pochettino has insisted that Fiorentina have other players who are capable of making a difference.

"Cuadrado is an unbelievable player, but it is true that Fiorentina have a strong squad, a lot of good players," Pochettino added.

"Yes, we watch a lot of games from Fiorentina in the last period and it is a very, very good team."
