Champions League football will recommence this week with a tasty fixture which will see two of Europe's heavyweights going head to head. Both the sides are favourites to win the league title in their respective countries but whereas Chelsea have made a strong case for themselves, currently enjoying a comfortable lead at the top of the table, PSG are still third in Ligue 1.

The defending French champions' disappointing start to the season has been overshadowed by assuring performances recently which has seen them lose just once in 2015. Zlatan Ibrahimovic is poised to play against Jose Mourinho a man who managed the big Swede during his time at Inter Milan.

PSG captain Thiago Silva is aware that Mourinho will have a plan to keep Zlatan quiet but has warned the Portuguese tactician that the mercurial striker is difficult to keep at bay. The Brazilian has also admired the opposition for being organized but has claimed that his side will be ready for any kind of challenge.

"Of course Mourinho will know what quality to expect from Zlatan Ibrahimovic because they were together at Inter," he said.

"I am sure there will be some sort of plan for Chelsea to stop the threat of him, but Mourinho will know that Zlatan can score goals from anything - those you cannot prepare for."

"We know that a Jose Mourinho team is going to be very organised, so we will have to be patient in our approach. I don't expect them to come to Paris and be attacking but that is why it is so important we keep our focus.

"They will soak up the pressure, but they have dangerous players that can hit you on the counter attack. Costa, Oscar, [Eden] Hazard can hurt you in a second. We must stay focused for the whole game."

Chelsea on the other hand have been unstoppable for most of the season, but have shown their inconsistency which was last observed when they were knocked out of the FA Cup by League One side Bradford. However the Blues have played some eye catching football this season and are definitely a force when at their best.

Their last outing against Everton was hardly their best performance of the season but Mou's men managed to get all three points with Willian grabbing a late winner. They will be further boosted by the return of Diego Costa to the side who has been serving a suspension in domestic competitions. Winter signing Juan Cuadrado is also eligible for the tie and will be hoping to make his Champions League debut for the club.

PSG on the other hand will be without the likes of Yohan Cabaye (groin), Marquinhos (hamstring), Blaise Matuidi (knee), Serge Aurier (thigh) and Lucas Moura (hamstring) as they prepare for a difficult fixture ahead.
