Lionel Messi is the third footballer to reach 10 million followers. Neymar and Ronaldo top the list.

When you can’t get enough Lionel Messi on TV, you go and follow him on social media. That is something fans of the Argentinian have very clear as they have helped him reach 10 million followers on Instagram.

To celebrate the special occasion, Messi posted a custom made shirt of his achievement while thanking fans for helping him out.

Despite reaching such a high number, his teammate Neymar might not be impressed. The Brazilian striker has 15.2 million followers, followed by Cristiano Ronaldo with 12.2 million.

Messi does not use Twitter, but fans can track almost everything the 2014 FIFA World Cup Golden Ball winner does on a daily basis. In his account, you can find pictures of his son, his girlfriend, his tattoos, his vacations and much more.
