Petulant Wigan Athletic Winger Charles N’Zogbia Given The Right To Leave

Wigan Athletic winger Charles N’Zogbia is on strike. The French international ruled himself out from the Latics’ opening English Premier League match last weekend.

N'zogbia only watched as his side suffered a stunning 4-0 demolition in the hands of new boys Blackpool. It is believed that Charles N’Zogbia quitted training ahead of Wigan Athletic’s game against the Seasiders. A £70,000 fine has now been ordered against the 24-year-old following his behavior.

Charles N’Zogbia’s relationship with Coach Roberto Martinez is reportedly damaged and speculations suggest that this has resulted in the player holding talks with Wigan Athletic owner Dave Whelan. According to the Daily Mail, Dave Whelan has given the green light for Charles N’Zogbia to leave.

 

With time running out in the transfer window, Charles N’Zogbia may opt to join Olympique Marseille from the French Ligue 1 who – like Sunderland – are reportedly interested in signing the player.

Wigan Athletic will host English Premier League champions and current leaders Chelsea at the DW Stadium where they last beat the Blues 3-1 before suffering an emphatic 8-0 loss on the last day of the English Premier League campaign last season.
