The Argentine ace's long-range goal was the third in a crazy four minutes that eventually put Barcelona ahead.

Given that title rivals Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid both won their games this weekend, it was crucial for Barcelona to keep pace and earn three points in their match against Villarreal earlier today.

However, Camp Nou was temporarily stunned--but for the wrong reasons--as the Yellow Submarine seized an early lead.

But, with the match looking like the first 45 would conclude with the Blaugrana needing to come back from a minor deficit, Neymar struck in the dying moments of the half to leave Luis Enrique's men level heading into the dressing room for the half-time break.

Viewers were in for a treat in the second half, and certainly would not have wanted to leave their seats for a minute. Three goals in just four minutes saw the visitors again grab the lead, before Barcelona equalised through Rafinha and Lionel Messi--not surprisingly--deliver the goal that would seal the win for the hosts.

And indeed, it was a pretty impressive goal...considering the La Liga all-time top scorer is known for that magical left foot and this was with his "weaker" one:

As such, the positions in the league are still the same, with city rivals Real and Atletico Madrid in first and third place and Barcelona splitting the two Madrid sides.

Spanish football fans will certainly be keeping on eye on this season's title race which looks set to be as interesting as the one from last campaign.
