Neymar's antics were too much for Atletico to handle, while referee Gil Manzano had dubious calls complicating things for both teams.

Atletico Madrid and Barcelona did not let anyone down during their Copa del Rey matchup. Los Blaugranas saw themselves trailing twice, as Fernando Torres scored another first minute goal, just like he did against Real Madrid. Neymar equalized after seven minutes, but the other star of this game would make his first appearance of the night.

Referee Gil Manzano awarded a penalty kick for Atletico which was transformed by Raul Garcia. While the tackle existed, it seems like Javier Mascherano hit Juanfran outside the box.

The ref's performance was again the talk of the game when Atletico Madrid desperate to make things right after Miranda's own goal, attacked Ter Stegen's net relentlessly, and even had a magnificient shot by Griezmann blocked by Jordi Alba's arm. Gil Manzano denied the penalty, and in the very next play Barcelona scored the third goal of the match.

Just after the halftime whistle, Gabi was sent off by the referee, following a supposed argument with Neymar in the tunnels leading to the dressing room. The Brazilian player was harshly kicked by several Atletico players, even getting into an argument with Torres.

When the gam resumed, Arda Turan got mad at the linesman for not giving a foul for Atletico. The Turkish player reacted in a not so pleasant way, earning just a yellow card by the ref.

Finally, the ref sent off Mario Suarez for this harsh tackle on Lionel Messi. He saw a second yellow card, while fans asked the ref for a straight red.

Here's what fans and experts said about this match, including Gabi's complaints about Neymar's attitude during the game.

"All the beauty we witnessed during the first half was lost in the second. Who's to blame? Gil Manzano"

"Gil Manzano ruined the game"

"Gil Manzano destroyed the game. He blasted Barcelona and killed Atletico. The second half was just a big yawn. Good bye, spectacle."

"Gil Manzano should never whistle again. The other day he was outrageous in the game between Valencia and Sevilla and today with Atletico and Barcelona. Shameful"
