Koke has been linked with three big teams in the Premier League. The Spanish international would love to stay with the club that has seen him grow.

Atlético de Madrid, the defending Champions of La Liga, is the only club that Jorge Resurrección Merodio aka Koke sees himself playing with. The 23-year-old midfielder is considered a key element in the team’s recent success.

“I see life in red and white. I am happy here, the club is growing and I grow with it,” the Spaniard said to AS, a Spanish newspaper.

During the winter transfer window, Koke has made headlines with rumors of him going to play in the Premier League for Manchester City, Manchester United or Liverpool.

Ever since he was a kid, the Madrilenian has been a part of the Colchoneros. Starting with the youth squad, moving up to the B team in 2008 and making it to the first team in 2011.

His current contract will not expire until June 30, 2019. Even seeing his former teammate Diego Costa succeed with Chelsea does not inspire him to follow his trail. At the moment Koke is focused on helping his team defend its title.

Negotiations for the Spanish player are not cheap. His current value according to Transfermarkt is of £44 million. That number has duplicated since January 2014 when they had not won the Spanish league title yet.

In August 14, 2013, Koke made his debut with his national team in a game against Ecuador where they won 2-0. Since then he has played 15 matches with La Furia Roja.

In 199 appearances with the club, he has scored 17 times and made 52 assists. His 200th game could be this Wednesday against Barcelona at the Vicente Calderón for the second-leg of the Copa del Rey quarterfinals where they trail by one goal.

Former Colchonero Diego Costa is now finding success with Chelsea. Koke is not interested in that, at the moment.

Koke is not looking into following former teammate Diego Costa's Premier League steps.
