The Real Madrid superstar headed to downtown Madrid in disguise to surprise a young boy with a signed football. Watch the moment.

Some may argue he is not the best footballer in the world, though the majority of the world disagrees, but there is no denying that Cristiano Ronaldo is an all out nice bloke.

In an age where superstar athletes have become detached from the rest of the world, with their interaction with the fans limited to social media and press conferences, the Real Madrid icon has gone out of his way to stay in touch with his beloved supporters.

Not only that, but the 29-year-old Portuguese attacker has a long-list of charitable work, everything from covering a nine-year-old boy's cancer treatment to donating money for a 10-month old's child's life-saving brain surgery.

The list goes on and on.

And whilst Ronaldo's latest action may not be a humanitarian act as the aforementioned, it will definitely enhance his popularity as one of sports' most likable characters.

The former Manchester United man dressed up as a homeless beggar and headed down to Plaza de Callao in downtown Madrid to surprise a young fan with a signed ball. The young boy, obviously, was shocked at the sight of Cristiano.

Moments after revealing himself, a crowd quickly gathered around the three-time Ballon d'Or winner before he gave the young boy a hug. Watch the moment in the footage below.
