The absence of his former girlfriend during last Monday's Ballon D'Or ceremony sparked rumors about CR7's personal life. Those rumors were confirmed by Shayk's agent, who refused to comment further details on the real reasons why the couple ended their five-year relationship.

Fans were worried about the player's recent form, since the player did not seem focused in the club's recent games, especially in their Copa del Rey matchup against Atletico, where CR7 had a below average performance despite scoring one goal.
