Liverpool will welcome Chelsea to Anfield in a blockbuster clash on Tuesday, January 20th. You can find live listings and online streaming information for Liverpool vs. Chelsea here.

Both the Reds and the Blues will come into this clash after winning their respective league ties, which, especially in the case of Liverpool will definitely be morale-boosting as they welcome league leaders Chelsea to Anfield.

Although 17 points currently separate the hosts, who finished second in the league and are now in seventh place from Chelsea, Brendan Rodgers was still full of hopeful enthusiasm when the semi-final pairings were announced.

"If you want to win this competition you have to play against the good sides," he stated following the draw.

"The most important thing  [has been] getting through but our performance [has been] brilliant so far. The semi-final [is] over two legs and it does not matter who we got.

[What was crucial] was getting there, [and even though] it is Chelsea, we [are] looking forward to it."

So far, Liverpool have failed to get the better of Chelsea in their past three meetings. Last season saw Rodgers' men unable to overcome Mourinho's troops in both home and away fixtures, and their most recent match-up ended as a 2-1 loss this past November.

Meanwhile, Chelsea continue to go from strength to strength following their defeat in an eight-goal thriller against London rivals Tottenham. Certainly, Liverpool will be wary of Spanish duo Cesc Fabregas and Diego Costa, both of whom were in great form as they cruised to a 5-0 win over Swansea City on the road.

In fact, since their New Years' Day loss, Chelsea have out-scored their opponents by 10 to nil in all competitions and still boast not only the strongest attack (with 51 scored) but also the toughest defense (with just 19 conceded) in the Premier League. Moreover, they will definitely be keen on overpowering Liverpool over the two legs in order to possibly set up a revenge meeting with Tottenham in the final of this season's Capital One Cup.

Interestingly, Jose Mourinho at one point served as a mentor to Brendan Rodgers when the latter was working as first a youth team and then reserve team coach at Chelsea. So, in this mouth-watering clash, will the student finally get the better of his advisor?

Or will Mourinho make it four wins in four against a familiar opponent? Both Liverpool and Chelsea fans, as well as general Premier League followers definitely will not want to miss this match.
