Match Day 2 of AFCON 2015 pits African heavyweights Ghana and Senegal against each other. Whoever wins, fans are set for a thrill.

Senegal
Coming off the back of a very positive qualification campaign, Senegal are certainly confident about their chances at the Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea this year. The Lions of Teranga qualified out of Group G with 13 points, just a point behind group leaders and 2004 champions Tunisia. The squad boasts the enthusiasm of youth in the form of the likes of Mame Birame Diouf, Moussa Konate, and Sadio Mane, and the assured quality of experienced players in the form of the likes of Newcastle’s Papiss ‘Demba’ Cisse and Ludovic Lamine.

Senegal will look to their experienced defender Ludovic Lamine to keep things tight at the back.

Ghana
The Black Stars of Ghana do not need much introduction. Very few teams in the continent boast the kind of success they have registered since they started participating in international tournaments in the 1960’s. The Ghanaians are four times winners of the AFCON trophy and will do everything in their power to add another glittering piece of silverware to their already-impressive collection.

Former Sunderland forward Gyan is almost certain to start vs Senegal

In a courageous and tactful squad selection display, popular names like Boateng, Essien & Muntari are missing from Avram Grant's AFCON 2015 roster. Prodigious forward Gyan is however present, and will look to inspire the Stars with his devilish poacher skills.
