It was a walk in the park for the Chivalrous at the Melbourne Rectangular Stadium, on Friday. Hamza Al-Dardour - now the topscorer of the 2015 AFC Asian Cup - bagged four goals as Jordan trounced the Palestinians 5-1. Jaka Ihbeisheh grabbed a consolation goal for his side but the damage had already been done.

With this massive win, Ray Wilkins' men are back on track and on course to qualifying from Group D. They currently have 3 points like Iraq against whom they lost 1-0 on Matchday 1. In Brisbane, Keisuke Honda's solitary penalty goal midway through the first half was enough to earn Japan a 1-0 victory over the Lions of Mesopotamia.

The Samurai Blue will be looking to improve on their finishing after missing a handful of chances which could have seen them win by a bigger margin. They need only a point from their next match against Jordan to officially seal their passage into the quarter-finals.
