The Ivory Coast midfielder will not be available to play with the team until February 8, since he will be playing with his National Team in the AFCON.

One of Manchester City's top players may not continue with the team next year. Yaya Toure's future wearing the Sky Blue jersey may be compromised by the team's forgetfulness of some important dates for the midfielder. While talking to a news station, Toure was not clear in his intention to remain playing with the current Premier League champions.

"That's a big question and that's an easy question as well, and you have an easy answer: We'll see. I don't know if I'll stay. I'm at City. It's a great club where I've achieved lots of things," Toure responded.

Toure's stay with Manchester City may be at risk since he felt the club intentionally forgot the player's birthday, creating a strained relationship for some time with the team's executives. Furthermore, Toure experienced mix feelings on and off the pitch, since his success with the Citizens was overshadowed by the tragic loss of his brother Ibrahim, forcing him to say that 2014 was a "horrible" year for him.

Nevertheless, a transfer during the winter period may not be among Manuel Pellegrini's thoughts, since the Chilean boss stated he felt Toure is fully committed with the club.

Yaya Toure was signed back in 2010 from Barcelona and has enjoyed successful seasons with the Sky Blues, winning the English Premier League in 2012 and 2014.
