According to reports, the Gunners boss could sign two new players to help re-inforce the squad this winter.

According to reports, Arsene Wenger is seeking to sign not one, but two new players this January in an attempt to further improve the squad.

Injuries have robbed the Gunners of Mathieu Debuchy due to a dislocated shoulder and Laurent Koscielny has been struggling with an Achilles tendon issue.

And the troubles are not just with the defense. In midfield, Jack Wilshere is still battling back after ankle surgery whilst Mikel Arteta is still waiting his return to the fold.

As a result, the latest rumor is Dortmund duo Mats Hummels and Ilkay Gundogan, both mainstays of die Schwarzgelben over the past few seasons in a joint £60 million-plus deal. Dortmund have struggled horribly so far this season and as they are currently nearly dead last in the table are not likely to be able to offer Champions League--and perhaps not even Europa League--football next season.

Hence, a slew of the club's stars, including, of course, much-sought after Marco Reus could be forced to seek greener pastures elsewhere.

Double swoop? £63 million is the price being floated around to sign Gundogan and Hummels

Numerous reports already claim that Arsenal have already submitted a bid for the Turkish international and are preparing a massive £47 million bid for star defender Hummels, who won the World Cup with Germany this past summer in Brazil.
