The Colombian striker, on loan at Man United, looks less and less likely to make his Old Trafford stay permanent after these latest comments by his agent, Jorge Mendes.

Despite being hailed as a world-class signing upon his arrival in England, Colombian striker Radamel Falcao has found life at Manchester United not so easy.

Putting pen to paper on a £6m season-long loan deal with the Red Devils worth approximately £265,000 a week, on loan from Monaco, the English Premier League giants have the option of making the 28-year-old striker's deal permanent for the price of £43.5m.

However, his agent Jorge Mendes has raised doubts as to whether El Tigre will be at Old Trafford past his loan agreement. Falcao has scored three times and assisted three in 12 games for Manchester United, but has struggled with fitness over the season, and has failed to hold down a spot in the starting XI.

Many believe manager Louis Van Gaal is already convinced the Colombian is not worth the hefty price tag, especially after the Dutch tactician dropped him from the squad entirely in Sunday 1-0 defeat to Southampton despite being fit to play.

Mendes, on the other side, feels his client, who has completed a full 90 minutes only on two occasions, is unappreciated at the Theatre of Dreams, arguing Falcao can succeed anywhere else.

“I don't know [where his future is],” Mendes stated. “He is a fantastic player, and I think it's very difficult for Manchester United fans.

“They have an absolutely brilliant player, one of the very best in the world, who would without any doubt play 90 minutes of the match, every time, with any other club.

“The truth is, right now we don't know what will happen. What we do know is that he will play in one of the very best clubs in the world next season, whether that is Manchester United or not.

“I am 100 per cent sure of that. But you know how football works, we need to wait a little. We'll see what happens.”

Should Manchester United sign Radamel Falcao on a permanent deal?
