Despite dropping the biggest hint ever that he will leave Barcelona during the press conference on Monday, the Argentine has now gone on the record to clear the air surrounding rumors of a Camp Nou exit.

Argentine superstar Lionel Messi has once again reiterated his commitment to Catalan giants Barcelona, insisting he does not intend on leaving La Liga for a move to the English Premier League.

The 27-year-old attacker, who came in second to Cristiano Ronaldo in the Ballon d'Or race on Monday, stated in a press conference prior to the gala that he is not sure whether he will still be at Camp Nou next year.

This once again sparked rumors of a Barcelona exit, with a reported switch to Chelsea previously dominating the news. La Pulga, however, has now come out to deny suggestions he will leave the Blaugrana, blaming the rumors on the media twisting his every word.

He said: "It’s a bit tiresome having to clarify everything I say.

"Often I don’t even come out and deny things or don't speak to the media because they always change some of my words to create controversy."

“I’m not thinking about leaving," Messi added. "Not at all. All I said was that in football you never know what will happen in future.

"Last year at Barcelona was very hard for me personally and professionally and we will try to turn things around this season."

Messi has also made the headlines recently for a completely seperate issue, his apparent rift with manager Luis Enrique. The Albiceleste captain, though, denied there being bad blood between him and the Asturian coach.

“It’s the same as with any other player in the dressing room – a coach to player relationship," he said.

Messi, being the skipper of the Argentina national team, was awarded one vote for the Coach of the Year race, which he shockingly handed to former Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho.

And what was Leo's reasoning? "He is a great coach. Whether you like him or not as a person, there is no doubt he is an amazing coach," the Barcelona attacker confessed.
