Despite all the talk of a "crisis" at Barcelona, with Lionel Messi and Luis Enrique widely reported to be at odds, the Blaugrana gave fans plenty of things to smile about.
Messi, Luis Suarez, and Neymar, nicknamed "MSN" showed their pure class against title rivals Atletico Madrid as the hosts blitzed the reigning La Liga champions to finish the first 45 with a two goal advantage.
The four-time Ballon d'Or winner--who is in contention to win a fifth tomorrow--was the go-to man as he set up both Neymar and Suarez for each of their goals.
However, one talking point during the half-time break was how the all-time La Liga top scorer's assist for the ex-Liverpool ace came about. Some felt that during the build-up, the Argentinian superstar handled the ball and carried on with play, leading to Suarez's goal.

Then in the second half, Messi found himself now on the receiving end of a questionable decision as was judged to have fouled Jesus Gamez in the box, giving Atletico a penalty which Mario Mandzukic converted to half the deficit.

And not surprisingly, social media was as usual buzzing with fans' discussions regarding both the apparent handball and foul in the box:

However, it was Messi who earned himself the last laugh as he finally got his goal to seal all three points and a great night for Barcelona's star attacking trio.
And certainly all was forgotten as fans came out again to hail La Pulga after an all-around good performance:
Messi has been utter class today #barca #messi

However there were some (certainly anti-Messi/Barcelona) viewers who couldn't help with a bit of snark:
For a guy who caused a penalty, handball and hit two players and got away with all of that he should be happy #Messi #tksReferee
