Real Madrid's year has not started quite as their fans wanted. Today, Atletico Madrid defeated Los Blancos for the second consecutive game this year, exposing some of their weaknesses and having Sergio Ramos and Carlo Ancelotti as the proverbial villians.
The first half of the match was dominated by Real Madrid, that started the game without superstar Cristiano Ronaldo. Sergio Ramos enjoyed the most important chance to score during the first 45 minutes, but his header was denied by Jan Oblak.
After the break, Ramos lost the plot and practically gave away the game to Atletico Madrid. First, he created a chance for Fernando Torres by handing him the ball, and minutes later he tackled Raúl García inside the box, giving Atletico the chance to score via a penalty kick. Just when Ancelotti placed Cristiano Ronaldo on the pitch, Simeone's men scored the second goal of the evening courtesy of Jose Maria Gimenez, who beat Sergio Ramos to the ball.
Diego Simeone's men did not give away any chances to Real Madrid after scoring their second goal, and now Los Blancos will have to win by three goals if they want to make it through the next stage of the Copa del Rey.

Instead of making a petition against Oldham signing Evans we should make one against Ancelotti playing Arbeloa. What a fraud.
