The Polish goalkeeper was found smoking in the team's showers, forcing Wenger to fine the player and drop him of the team that faced Hull City on Sunday.

It seems Arsene Wenger grew tired of Wojciech Szczesny's antics on and off the pitch, deciding to fine him and suspend him for at least one game. Sources indicate Le Prof caught the player smoking while he was taking a shower after their 2-0 loss to Southampton, prompting Wenger to take disciplinary action on the player.

Szczesny's performance against Southampton was rather disappointing, with two of his mistakes going up on the scoreboard. After the shower incident, Wenger fined the Polish keeper for 20,000 pounds and left him out of the 18-man squad that faced Hull City on Sunday.

Colombian shot-stopper David Ospina took Szczesny's place against Hull City, keeping a clean sheet in their FA Cup match. Damian Martinez was the backup keeper during that game, and it is yet unclear if Szczesny will be absent for Arsenal's upcoming game against Stoke City.

Szczesny is not the first player this season to be fined by Arsenal for smoking. Jack Wilshere was also sanctioned after a series of photos showed him having a smoke during his vacation in Las Vegas.
