Although Chelsea and Tottenham are currently 15 points apart in the table, the Blues have not been as impressive on the road as they have at home. So far, all their draws and solitary loss have all come away from Stamford Bridge, something that Jose Mourinho is not unaware of.
"We had very difficult fixtures away from home. We lost one game [against Newcastle] that we didn't deserve to lose," he stated to reporters ahead of the London showdown.
"[But] we are doing well. Every match is difficult. When we go to Tottenham it's difficult, when we go to Swansea it's difficult, when we go to QPR it's difficult. I don't think there are easy matches."
Both Spurs and the Blues will head into this London derby on a similar run of form, with four wins and one draw in their last five fixtures. The last time Mauricio Pochettino's men saw defeat in the league was against the very same side, a 3-0 reversal at Stamford Bridge.
Since then, they have picked up 11 points from their last five games and put in an impressive performance to halt Manchester United's run that had seen the Red Devils win six out of their last eight games.
