Quest and British Eurosport will show LIVE coverage of the Dubai Challenge Cup 2014 match between reigning Spanish champions and European Cup winners Real Madrid and the legendary Italian team AC Milan.

The much anticipated one off footballing spectacle will be simulcast on Quest and British Eurosport for the first time to give more viewers the chance to tune into the heavyweight clash that brings down the curtain on another great sporting year.

The match takes place on Tuesday 30th December from the 40,000 capacity Sevens Stadium in Dubai, where the match has already sold out. Coverage will start at 15:45 in the UK on Quest and British Eurosport with host Rob Curling and studio guests Gaizka Mendieta and Trevor Francis.

Mendieta won 40 caps for Spain and played in La Liga for Valencia and Barcelona and Serie A with Lazio, as well as enjoying a spell in the Premier League with Middlesbrough. Former England striker Francis won 52 caps for his country and was the world’s first million pound player when he joined Nottingham Forest, for whom he scored the winning goal in the 1979 European Cup Final. The striker later went on to play a total of 89 matches in Italy’s Serie A for Sampdoria and Atalanta.

Real Madrid boast a squad full of ‘galacticos’, most notably Cristiano Ronaldo the current holder of the Ballon D’Or as World Player of the Year and former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder and Welsh International Gareth Bale, as well as Luka Modrić, James Rodriguez, Karim Benzema and Toni Kroos.

Milan are managed by their former striker Filippo Inzaghi who won both the Italian title and European Cup in his playing days at the club. Their squad includes Stephan El Shaarawy and on-loan Chelsea forward Fernando Torres.
