Jose Mourinho's men have handled Manchester City's pressure correctly, and today Chelsea made sure they arrive to Boxing Day leading the English Premier League after defeating Stoke City at Britannia Stadium with a 2-0 score.
John Terry made way for Chelsea's victory after heading a corner kick by Cesc Fabregas into the back of the net just two minutes after the game started. The Blues controlled the game without many complications, despite some chances enjoyed by the home team. It was Diego Costa who was closer to extend Chelsea's lead, but his shot went wide of Asmir Begovic's posts.
After the break, Chelsea kept dominating the ball, and with 13 minutes left, Cesc Fabregas went inside the box and struck smoothly to make it 2-0 for Mourinho's side. The former Arsenal and Barcelona man has scored five goals and handed 12 assists in his five months as a Blue, proving key to the team's wonderful display this year.
