Real Madrid's president could be preparing a long-term deal for the Italian coach, given the recent results Los Blancos are having.

After one of the best years in the team's history, Real Madrid could be thinking about a long-term commitment with coach Carlo Ancelotti. Sources indicate the club's President, Florentino Perez, has never been happier with any of his coaches, which would encourage him to sign Ancelotti for a long time.

After Los Blancos' victory in the recent Club World Cup, Florentino Perez applauded Ancelotti's handling of the team's locker room, since his players seem happier and committed to their objectives like never before. The player's relationship with Ancelotti, added to their current streak of 22 consecutive wins, would have led to Perez's intention to extend the Italian's stint as manager for a very long time.

"In my years as president, I've never seen a squad that's as committed as this one, never. We have to thank Carlo for it, and we would love for Ancelotti to become Real Madrid's 'Alex Ferguson,'" the Spanish executive stated.

This year, Ancelotti won the Copa del Rey against Barcelona, the UEFA Champions League against Atletico, the UEFA Super Cup facing Sevilla and the Club World Cup beating Argentinian club San Lorenzo. Ancelotti needs two more trophies to equal Vicente del Bosque's six titles with Los Blancos, and has already topped Jose Mourinho's total of three.
