The Champions League round of 16 fixtures for the 2014-15 season have all been decided, and it spells a nightmare for English Premier League duo Chelsea and Manchester City.

Chelsea was paired against Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain in a repeat of last season’s thrilling quarter-final encounter between the two mega-rich sides, whilst the Citizens, reminiscent of last season’s round of 16 tie, will lock horns with La Liga giants Barcelona.

Title holders and 10-time winners Real Madrid was handed a relatively easy opponent, an encounter with Bundesliga side Schalke 04, with many joking Los Blancos have already secured their spot in the quarter-finals.

One of the biggest stories of the day was surrounding Arsenal, however. The Gunners, who drew Bayern Munich twice in a row in this exact same stage in the tournament, avoided the German heavyweights, despite all the odds. The north London team will now look to overcome French side Monaco in order to make the last 8 for the first time since 2010.
