The event begins quite early, at 3am PST / 6am EST / 11am GMT. In Nyon, where it is set to take place, it will be midday. Regardless of that, anxious football fans are getting ready for the moment they’ve been waiting since last week: the draw.
The 16 qualified teams are dominated by German sides (4) followed by Spanish sides (3) and English participants (3). All of Spain’s contenders are seeded as group winners with reigning champions Real Madrid leading the way. The countries with only one representative are Italy, Portugal, Switzerland and Ukraine.
Interestingly, France have two contenders left with AS Monaco surprising the world to win Group C and qualify for the Last 16 along with rivals Paris Saint-Germain.
