Liverpool will travel to Manchester United on December 14th for their 16th fixture of the 2014-15 Premier League season. Check the live TV and online streaming broadcast listings for United vs Liverpool below.

Historically, this match has held a lot of significance in England because of the number of trophies these two teams have accumulated down the years. However, Liverpool's poor form this season and Manchester United's downfall last season means that this particular match will be served with a reduced helping of spices on the side.

Man United's recent form though has been very good; a win over an accomplished Southampton side saw them reach (the giddy heights of) third place. The United sides of the past under Sir Alex Ferguson knew how to climb up the table quietly and steal the title before Liverpool and other giants realized exactly where they were in the table.

Liverpool's exit from the UEFA Champions League will perhaps give them the freedom to perform more openly in the Premier League unless Brendan Rodgers decides to take the Europa League seriously of course. The Merseyside team which lost out on the Championship in heartbreaking fashion last season sits a lowly ninth.

Liverpool have won two of their last three and drawn the other following three straight losses in the league. United have gradually improved this season. Their Dutch striker, Robin Van Persie, has seemingly found his magic touch once again.

Despite his striker's good form, Louis Van Gaal surely must wish that he had more players available. United's injury list is rather lengthy; Rafael, Daley Blind and Chris Smalling are all out of action. Their midfield talisman, Angel di Maria is injured. Luke Shaw and Jesse Lingard are injured as well. Phil Jones has returned to training but this match might come a bit too early for him.

Liverpool's biggest absentees on the other hand are the quick and powerful feet of Daniel Sturridge. Aside from him, Jon Flanagan, Suso and the enigmatic Mario Balotelli are out. Kolo Toure is a doubt due to a groin problem.
