The Mexican midfielder has been one of Porto's most outstanding players during this season, especially in their UCL matches.

With their complicated season so far, it seems Borussia Dortmund will try to revert their last place in the Bundesliga by signing some players during the upcoming transfer season. According to sources, their first target would be Porto's Mexican midfielder Hector Herrera, who's had an amazing season with his club both domestically and in their UEFA Champions League group.

The same source indicates Dortmund would be willing to pay 25 million euros for the player's services, adding their interest to the earlier rumors that claimed Herrera would be making a move to Manchester City.

Herrera is known in Portugal for his good ball handling skills, complemented by his goal scoring capabilities.  The player from Sinaloa, Mexico, was also key to Miguel Herrera's El Tri during the past World Cup, controlling the Mexican midfield along with PSV's Andres Guardado.

Herrera would be the fourth Mexican player to sign with a Bundesliga team, following the foot steps of Pavel Pardo, Ricardo Osorio and Francisco Rodriguez. Pardo and Osorio even managed to win a championship with Stuttgart in 2007.

The only setback for Herrera's signing is that he has already taken part of Porto's games in the UEFA Champions League, so he would not be clear to play the continental tournament.
