Former Brazilian player Pelé alarmed his fanbase after being reported delicate with a urinary tract infection, which required him to be moved to the Special Care Unit. After the news broke, the hospital published a press release explaining the legend's current physical state.
"Patient Edson Arantes Do Nascimento has been undergoing kidney treatment, but with no need of other supporting therapies. He will remain under medical surveillance for an undetermined period," can be read in the press release.
After all the reactions on social media and in news agencies, the former Santos player used his Twitter feed to clarify his medical situation, stating his life was never in danger.
