As Liverpool's struggles continue, more and more pressure is being piled on Brendan Rodgers' shoulders.
A shock 3-1 defeat to Crystal Palace this weekend had fans up in arms as the Reds, who finished second last season, are presently in the bottom half of the table. A dismal 14 points from 12 games sees them just six points ahead of last-placed QPR.
While the club have not publicly commented on the coach's future, it has not stopped former players like Jamie Carragher from criticizing him for the work he has done so far this season.
As such, English reports claim that the team's board have earmarked German tactician Jurgen Klopp as an option to replace Rodgers at Anfield. Like his counterpart, though, Klopp's team have also struggled this season and to the dismay of die Schwarzgelben supporters, are uncomfortably close to the drop zone with just 11 points so far.
Klopp has made no secret of an interest in managing in England one day, as he noted when asked about his Premier League ambitions:
"I think [England is] the only country I think where I should work, next to Germany because it’s the only country [that] I know the language a little bit and I need the language for my work."
