The 1994 World Cup winner believes the Brazilian idol will have a prosperous career, so he can surpass every record set to this day.

Romario, one of the most respected Brazilian players of all time, stated today he believes Neymar can become the best player in the world, surpassing his current teammate Lionel Messi. Due to Neymar's age, the former Number 11 for Barcelona and La Canarinha thinks he will show his class for a very long time.

"Neymar's got it all to be greater than Messi. Messi may not have another World Cup where he can shine, and Ney has still got the chance to play in three or four more, and he can win at least one of them. I hope he can keep his current level," Romario stated.

Being Brazil's superstar these days, the player-turned-congressman added Neymar has become a part of the National Team's history.

"He can produce an even bigger impact, and I'm sure he will surpass all my accomplishments. He is already part of the Brazilian National Team's history, and he will keep leading us for a very long time," the former striker assured.

Finally, De Souza joked about a possible comparison between him and the current Barcelona player.

"He can top every single statistic, but there will never be another player like Romario," he concluded.
