The Swedish star has been again nominated for the Puskas Award that he won last year, but who else made the list?

This year's list of Ballon d'Or nominees had some surprises, and others wouldn't raise any eyebrows. So did the crop of players who were snubbed. On the heels of that, now comes who and who scored the best goal over the course of the past season and are up for nomination for the annual Puskas Award.

Last season it was Zlatan Ibrahimovic's amazing overhead kick against England, a match in which the Swedish superstar scored all four goals. And unlike the Ballon d'Or, fans can actually have a say in which player they would like to see claim the prize, which was established in 2009 and includes Barcelona's Brazilian star Neymar among its recipients.

Ibrahimovic again has a chance to defend his crown due to a brilliant back-heeled goal against Bastia in October of last year, but could face some stiff competition from the likes of Robin Van Persie, James Rodriguez, Diego Costa, and Tim Cahill.

Zlatan shows off those martial arts skills with this cheeky goal against Bastia last season

The flying Dutchman: Robin Van Persie's goal in Holland's 5-1 rout of Spain was one of the best at the WC

James Rodriguez's strike against Uruguay was also another beauty from this summer's World Cup and helped him to become the tournament's top scorer

And Tim Cahill makes it a third awesome goal from Brazil, netting for Australia vs. the Netherlands

Here's Diego Costa's fantastic strike against Getafe. Chelsea fans are surely glad to have him at Stamford Bridge!

Other nominees for the prize include: Camilo Sanvezzo, Pajtim Kasami, Hisato Sato, Marco Fabian, and Stephanie Roche.
