The former Barcelona coach thinks that playing with his National Team will help Messi reach his previous form.

The newly appointed Argentina's National Team coach, Gerardo Martino, spoke today about his top player, Lionel Messi. According to the former Barcelona coach, Messi is worried because things are not working out for him the way they used to.

"Messi is trying very hard to reach his previous form. He is worried about it, because he can't find the way right now. We want him to know that the National Team can help him reach his best version again, and even though he can do it while playing in his club, we will do everything in our power to help him come back to his top form," Martino stated in an interview.

Nevertheless, the Argentinian manager who led Barcelona to a cupless season last year, thinks maybe the best version of Messi and his club may not be seen again.

"Messi's career goes side-by-side with what happens to Barcelona. If you keep comparing their best version, any comparison will not be satisfying. Both the club and Lio managed to keep playing their best for a long time, and I don't know if we will live to see them achieve that kind of level again," Martino added.

The National Team's coach will have Messi playing for his team next week, when they face Croatia and Portugal in a couple of friendly matches.
