Despite only making a return from his nine-month lay off last Saturday, the Arsenal attacker could pull on the Three Lions jersey for the November 15 Euro 2016 qualifiers clash with Slovenia

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has raised concerns over Theo Walcott's return to the English national team after taking to the field for the first time since recovering from the serious knee injury that Englishman picked up back in January.

The Gunners attacker only made his comeback last Saturday in the north London side's 3-0 win over Burnley at the Emirates, but is already being tipped with a call-up from Roy Hodgson for England's Euro 2016 qualifying clash with Slovenia at Wembley, with a friendly against Scotland following a month later.

Despite giving his backing for a possible return to the Three Lions setup, claiming there to be mental benefits for Walcott, Le Prof has called for caution after the Southampton graduate's nine-month injury lay off, adding that the 25-year-old is not completely ready.

"If he wants to go [with England], I'm happy for him to go and practice and maybe get a few minutes," said the long-serving French manager. "Mentally it will help him.

"Is he completely ready? I think it is a bit early but to be in the squad will be good for him.

"It's good to have him back, hopefully he will come on and have no setbacks. We have to be cautious always.

"The battle is not won, nine or ten months out, you have ups and downs. I will have to manage that well."
