This summer, Chelsea fans all over the world were thrilled to hear that the club were bringing back one of their club legends.
After Frank Lampard departed for Manchester City much to the disappointment of Blues followers, their mood was definitely lifted by the return of iconic striker Didier Drogba, known to many as the man who helped them clinch their first ever Champions League title at the expense of Bayern Munich in 2012.
Although he's now 36 years of age, the veteran attacker, who is the Ivory Coast's all-time leading scorer and widely regarded as one of Africa's finest players, has been turning back the years recently. First he netted a penalty in Chelsea's 6-0 rout of Slovenian outfit Maribor in the Champions League on Tuesday, and then did what he does best by putting his team ahead against Manchester United (before Robin Van Persie's late equalizer).
He's still got it: Drogba's brilliant header to put Jose Mourinho's side ahead after a scoreless first 45 prior to RVP's late equalizer
And given his immense popularity, fans (even some Red Devils supporters!) and the media reacted to the African star's game winning goal:

So now the secret when #CFC plays #MUFC, use old strikers, last season it was #Etoo with a hatrick, today #Drogba in the brink of 3pts

The only way #Chelsea can honour #Drogba is by erecting a statue of him at Stamford Bridge, he has served the club with distinction
