The Gunners have only won two out of their eight games, and are now 11 points behind table-toppers Chelsea

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has admitted that his side's form is worrying after seeing the north London side succumb to a 2-2 draw with Hull City at the Emirates Stadium, on Saturday.

The result puts the FA Cup holders 11 points behind English Premier League leaders Chelsea, with only two wins out of eight games, sitting in sixth place with only 11 points.

Despite fighting from 2-1 down to grab a stoppage time Danny Welbeck equalizer, Le Prof was not all pleased with the final result, nor with his team's defensive display.

”It is a big concern we have only won two games, especially with the goals we are conceding.

“I think the performance was quite good, we put ourselves in trouble because we gave two goals away. We put the heart, the effort in until the last second.”

Arsenal, who took the lead through an Alexis Sanchez goal after only 13 minutes, conceded an equalizer through Mohamed Diame five minutes later. However, the Gunners were not pleased with the referee's decision to award the goal after the Senegalese midfielder appeared to have tugged on Mathieu Flamini's shirt in the build-up.

“The first goal is for the referee,” he added.

“The second one is for us.”

“Disappointing afternoon. 80 per cent possession, one point. Very disappointing result.

“We are unlucky with the referee on the first goal, but can only blame ourselves on the second. I cannot fault the effort, the heart but the defensive concentration was missing on the second goal.

"You cannot give goals away like that.”

Chelsea's 2-1 win at Crystal Palace puts them 11 points ahead of their London rivals, but the long-serving French manager did feel his team gave it everything for all three points.

“Of course, it’s a big concern,” he stated. “The other teams win games and we don’t.

“Sometimes the team that takes the initiative doesn't win. We tried our best and we can only look at ourselves.”
