Jose Mourinho's Chelsea is seemingly looking to make up for the missed opportunities of last season. They have come firing out of the blocks in this early part of the season. They have won six out of seven matches in the Premier League, drawing just one. The solitary draw came against a title rival in Manchester City. In their previous match, they beat a title rival as well in the shape of Arsenal. While they did not manage to score six past Arsenal this time, they did enough to condemn the visitors to a two goal defeat. Arsenal played well and Chelsea had to deny them on many occasions.

Chelsea's next match is against Crystal Palace. Palace is always good for a surprise. They have won two of their previous three Premier League matches. They beat Everton, 2-3, in an end to end contest. They also defeated lowly Leicester by two goals. They went into the international break unhappily though after falling to Hull City, 2-0. For those who are predicting a Chelsea win, Palace will gladly point out that they won their previous encounter against the Blues by a single goal.

Ramires is out for Chelsea. Andre Schürrle was unwell during the international break and could not feature for his country, Germany, against the Republic of Ireland. He is doubtful for this one. Scott Dann is out for Crystal Palace with a knee injury. Adrian Mariappa is considered doubtful as well due to a problem he picked up during the international break with Jamaica.

Crystal Palace's Starting XI: Speroni, Kelly, Hangeland, Delaney, Ward, Bolasie, Jedinak, McArthur, Ledley, Puncheon, Campbell.

Chelsea's Starting XI: Courtois, Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Azpilicueta, Matic, Fabregas, Willian, Oscar, Hazard, Remy.

Crystal Palace's Subs: Mariappa, Guedioura, Doyle, Zaha, Hennessey, Gayle, Chamakh.

Chelsea's Subs: Cech, Luis, Zouma, Salah, Mikel, Drogba, Solanke.
