Three years later, the new Barcelona star is still upset about his treatment following the Premier League scandal.

Luis Suarez is a player that has been involved in quite a bit of controversies during his career thus far.

The 27-year-old is currently serving a long suspension for biting Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini at this summer's World Cup during a clash between Uruguay and Italy. And prior to that, he was banned for 10 games after attacking Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic.

However, while he has taken responsibility for both incidents, the third dicey situation--his alleged racial abuse of Patrice Evra while the French international was with Manchester United--still irritates him due to his perceived unfair punishment.

Evra, who now plays for Juventus, was involved in a mild scuffle with the European Golden Shoe winner three years ago in October 2011 in which words were exchanged, culminating in the defender accusing the striker of hurling racist abuse.

Snub: Suarez showed his annoyance by refusing to shake Evra's hand in their first meeting after the incident

"It is good to accept that you have made a mistake and that's what I did," he stated in a recent interview.

"But they have also sometimes judged me on things that aren't true, such as the racism thing. I was accused without evidence and that's what grieved me the most.

"The others were actions when it was me who did wrong. I accepted that and begged [for] forgiveness, but the racism thing, when I was accused without evidence, that did upset me."

In addition to his hefty ban, Suarez had to pay a fine of £40,000, but Evra appeared to have put the incident behind him as he nominated him for the PFA Player of the Year award at the end of last season.
