The Uruguayan stated during an interview with Barcelona's magazine he feels in top shape to start against Los Blancos after two months of training with his new teammates.

Just eleven days away of being cleared to play, Luis Suarez feels grateful to have the opportunity to debut in an official match against Real Madrid. The Uruguayan gave a lenghty interview to the club's magazine, in which he shared his enthusiasm about making history with Barcelona from Day One:

"To be honest with you, I can't wait to experience this. I will make the most of my time here at Barcelona. I'm one of those people that everything happens for a reason, and if I get to make my debut against Real Madrid and not against any other team, then I have to think it's truly special," Suarez said.

After scoring three goals in his National Team's friendly matches -two against Oman and one against Saudi Arabia-, Suarez reflected on how he felt about not being able to play with his new club after his well-known ban for biting Chiellini:

"The tension keeps piling up. During the past two games, where I was able to go and cheer for the team, I just wanted to go inside and help them out. I want to feel the emotion of a true Barcelona player, because when I played the Joan Gamper game, I felt out of place, I thought I didn't belong here. That's why I'm so excited, because I will feel for the first time like a true culé,", the Uruguayan added.

Suarez stated he is aware of his flaws, hoping he will be able to recover his status as one of football's stars despite his misconduct.
