Mourinho also spoke about PSG's interest in his services, a team that he declined to manage in favor of Real Madrid, who sought him out at the same team

It seems Jose Mourinho has mixed feelings about some of his former players. After declaring weeks ago that Cristiano Ronaldo disappointed him for missing his penalty kick against Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League semifinal, today the Portuguese coach praised Real Madrid's striker and even compared him to French legend Zinedine Zidane:

"I'm not going to go further on what everybody knows, but I have to say that Cristiano Ronaldo is an amazing player, a goal scoring machine. He is just like Zinedine Zidane, there was only one Zidane, and there will always be one Cristiano Ronaldo," Mourinho stated.

The Portuguese trainer also stated that French Champion Paris Saint-Germain sought out his services while Brazilian Leonardo was their Sports VP. Mourinho signed for Real Madrid and PSG ended up signing Carlo Ancelotti. Mourinho declined to coach Les Parisiens since he thought winning the French league was not challenging enough:

"Winning the French league with PSG is not that difficult. Winning the Premier League is something fantastic for everyone, since it's really hard to accomplish. Right now they have great players, and Laurent Blanc knows exactly what he is doing. They have good players, with lots of experience after playing two quarter final stages in the Champions League, and this year they have beaten Barcelona. I think their chances are good, but winning the UCL is extremely hard," Mourinho concluded.
