Scotland vs Georgia will go live on the 11th of October at the Ibrox Stadium in a Euro 2016 Qualifying match.

Scotland will be hoping to build upon their impressive display against Germany last time out when they were denied by a brace from Thomas Muller. Their defeat during their opening match means that Gordon Strachan's side is yet to register any points and captain Grant Hanley is eager to change that with their match against Georgia scheduled for Saturday.

"We have to start picking up points," he said. "It's our first home game and we must be positive.

"If we play as we did in Germany we won't be too far away. The ultimate goal is to qualify.

"Competition for places is high and I feel that every time I come here I need to be on top form and prove myself in training.

"It forces everyone to be at their best but it spurs everyone on and there’s a great team spirit."

Strachan has named several of his young stars in the squad to face Georgia which includes the likes of Stevie May as well as Ryan Gauld who has impressed following his move to Sporting Lisbon. May who plays his trade at Sheffield Wednesday has also performed well having struck thrice in his first 10 appearances.

Georgia began their qualification campaign in a similar fashion to their hosts on Saturday after they were at the receiving end of a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Republic of Ireland. Their head coach Temuri Ketsbaia who represented Dundee during his playing day has insisted that his team can cause an upset during their upcoming match.

"You saw Scotland against Germany, where they played very well. They did not deserve to lose the game," he said. "In our group there is one team who will finish top as Germany are big favourites.

"But the second and third positions are between Ireland, Scotland, Poland and we also have some ambitions."

"We have shown in previous games we can get good results against teams that are better than Scotland."

However Georgia will have to put forth much better performances if they are to enhance their chances of making it into the illustrious tournament. Aside from their wins against Liechtenstein and Saudi Arabia earlier in the year, the Crusaders have not won a match since September 2012.

Scotland will be without Charlie Mulgrew after the midfielder was given his matching orders in the match against Germany.
