One of this summer's signings for Real Madrid spoke about how easy it has been for him to adapt to living in Madrid, as well as hiis new role with Los Blancos

Real Madrid's Toni Kroos spoke about his status with Los Blancos in a press conference. The former Bayern Munich player seemed reluctant to being compared with Xabi Alonso, who took his place with Pep Guardiola's team:

"I don't like being compared to him. If you analyze our playing style, you will realize we are not that different, since we play the same position. It's just the comparison that really gets to you," Kroos stated.

After winning the World Cup with Germany this summer, Kroos arrived to Madrid with high hopes, claiming it hasn't been that hard to adapt to his new teammates:

"Since I got there, I've played almost every three or four days, so it has been quite easy to adapt on the pitch. Away from the field, I haven't had the time to learn Spanish. I'm doing OK for now speaking English with them," the midfielder added.

Kroos also had time to compare La Liga with the German Bundesliga, pointing out some clear differences between them:

"I think there are better players in La Liga. Back home you can appreciate teamwork, since there are lots of teams that can give you a hard time. But I believe in Spain players give a much bigger effort," Kroos concluded.
