The 32-year-old goalkeeper could be calling an end to his ten-year Stamford Bridge career after losing his starting XI position to Thibaut Courtois

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has opened the door to a Stamford Bridge exit after seeing himself lose his spot between the sticks to hotshot Belgian custodian Thibaut Courtois.

The 32-year-old goalkeeper, who moved to west London back in 2004 from Rennes, has been leading Chelsea's last line of defense for over ten years, and is now recognized as one of the best and most respected shot-stopper in Europe.

However, after an impressive La Liga-winning season at Atletico Madrid, Thibaut Courtois returned to the Blues after a three-year loan spell at the Vicente Calderon Stadium, and was immediately instated as Jose Mourinho's first-choice goalkeeper.

This has led to on-going speculation that the veteran Czech, who won last year's Golden Glove award alongside Arsenal's Wojciech Szczesny, will bow out of Stamford Bridge and seek regular playing time elsewhere when the transfer window re-opens.

Making his first English Premier League appearance this season in Sunday's 2-0 win over Arsene Wenger's team, coming in as a first-half substitute due to a concussion sustained to Courtois, Cech admitted to not being happy with life on the bench, and hinted he will seek a solution to his dilemma soon.

"I have not spoken to anyone, but I think they know me well enough at the club to know that the situation is definitely not the way I would imagine," said Cech.

"With the Euros [in 2016] and the national team in mind, there is no time for me to sit on the bench and not to play.

"If the situation will not start to improve for me, then I will want to solve it."
