The 27-year-old Chilean was handed a hefty punishment after being involved in an altercation at a night club prior to Sunday's Juventus vs Roma game

Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal has been slapped with a record €100,000 fine after getting involved in a early morning brawl near a night club in Turin.

Eyebrows were raised when the Chilean superstar was dropped from the Serie A defending champions' highly-anticipated clash with last season's runners-up Roma, being relegated to the bench.

Making a 10 minute cameo in Sunday's 3-2 home win, reports later were leaked as to why Vidal was removed out of the starting XI by Massimiliano Allegri.

Reports out of the Italian media claim the former Hamburg ace was involved in an early morning fight after deciding to go clubing on Thursday, with pictures of The Old Lady maestro being revealed.

According to La Stampa (per 101 Great Goals), Vidal was the loser of the 05:30 AM altercation, and was on the receiving end of a “violent blow to the back”.

Vidal, who was chased by English Premier League side Manchester United all summer, is tipped to be headed for a Juventus exit next summer by Gazzetta dello Sport, but the extensive punishment that the Chilean was handed might speed up a move away from Italy to as early as January.
