The pair opened up about the incident which saw the Gunners boss shove the Portuguese coach during Sunday's London derby

Often in big matches such as Chelsea vs Arsenal, football takes center stage in a clash between great rivals and giants in the English Premier League. However, those who follow the beautiful game know that when the London duo faced off on Sunday, it would be all about Mourinho vs Wenger.

The two have been bitter enemies, locked in a war of words ever since the Portuguese boss touched down in London back in 2005. And in the Blues' 2-0 win, the two went at it after only 20 minutes of play, a confrontation which saw Le Prof shove the former Real Madrid boss.

After the final whistle, the two coaches discussed the incident, with Wenger, who has failed to beat Mourinho in 12 encounters, saying he has no regrets over his actions.

“I don’t regret it, what is there to regret?" Wenger said. "I want to go from A to B and someone (Mourinho) confronted me before I got to B without any sign of a welcome.”

However, the game was overshadowed by a clash between the two clubs' managers Arsene Wenger and Jose Mouriho

The long-serving manager blew up with anger at the Stamford Bridge tie after Gary Cahill made an awful tackle on Chilean attacker Alexis Sanchez, a foul that deserved a red card, in Wenger's eyes.

"A red card for Cahill wouldn’t surprise you if you watched it again. I went to Sanchez to see how badly he was injured."

“I trust you will all teach me the moral lessons over the next two weeks and I can accept that. I am long enough in the game to see things the right way. I don’t listen to what Mourinho says.

“You would see if I really tried to push you, come on.”

Mourinho and Wenger turned down the opportunity of shaking hands after the final whistle, but according to the Chelsea coach, there is no issue between them.

“It becomes heated because it's a big game, big clubs, big rivals, an important match for both teams. I think these conditions make a game of emotions. After that, there are two technical areas. One for me, one for him.

“He was coming into my technical area and not for the right reasons, to give some technical instructions. He was coming to push the referee for a red card, and I didn't like that. But I think Moss did a good job.

“A football pitch is a football pitch. Yes. He did well, Jonathan Moss. And Atkinson did well too. ‘But, to be fair, I do so many wrong things in football, sometimes you lose emotion, but not this time. This time I was just in my technical area and it was not my problem. Game over, story over.”
